From NRT International Airport to Sendai (by train)
NRT Airport → Tokyo
Take the Narita Express (N'EX) train bound for Tokyo station. The Narita Airport Railway Station is located inside the airport. Tickets can be purchased at the "green" JR (Japan Railways) counters in the station.
Tokyo → Sendai
Take the Tohoku Shinkansen (Japanese bullet train, JR-EAST) which goes to Sendai Station. Most of train services requires seat reservation.
*There are a number of rail passes available for foreign visitors of Japan. Further information is available from the JR website.
From NRT International Airport to Sendai (by plane)
Several flights from Narita Airport are connected to Sendai Airport. The Sendai Airport Access Line links the Sendai International Airport to Sendai Railway Station within 25 minutes. Further information is available here.
From Sendai to the Conference Site
The conference will be held at Sakura Hall in IMRAM, Tohoku University.
Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM) is accessible from the JR Sendai Station in 20 min. on foot or in 5 min. by taxi, etc. Further information is available here.
